LadyBread Bakery is thrilled to announce its soft opening on May 18th, 2024! This isn’t just any bakery; it’s a community hub that promises to showcase local art, serve delicious baked goods, and provide a warm and inviting atmosphere for everyone. When you walk into LadyBread, you’ll be greeted by a vibrant display of local art. The tables feature artwork by Whitney Hardman, and as time goes on, more of her pieces will be added. Additionally, you’ll find stunning cutting boards from “Clockwork Octopus.”
Stay tuned for rotating art shows on the far right wall, making every visit a new experience.
The bakery’s warm and welcoming interior, crafted by building owner Greta and her husband Casey Horn, features beautiful woodwork processed from harvest to finish by Casey himself. This personal touch makes LadyBread feel like home.
At the soft opening, you’ll find an array of baked goods that you’ve come to love from the market: muffins, scones (both sweet and savory), cakes, brownies, cinnamon rolls, and Jenn’s special Tuscan bread. They also have delicious cheesecake ready for you to enjoy.
There espresso bar features organic coffee, available in drip form as well, and house-made syrups with no added food colorings and organic ingredients. You can also try local tea from “Tea’s Tinctures, and Tonics,” and enjoy a beautiful and delicious blooming tea experience. (Pictured)
They are excited to include sourdough bread from Mid Coast Makery’s Jacki Lay-Coonfare.
For those avoiding gluten, they will have limited gluten-free options available, such as cookies, and are working on expanding these offerings. This is not a gluten free kitchen, but they will have items available for those who are intolerant.

Background:
LadyBread Bakery’s journey began with a deep love for baking rooted in a family tradition. Jenn, co-founder, learned to bake from her mom, who used cooking to teach fractions. This passion led to the creation of the beloved Tuscan Bread, a unique blend of tomatoes, garlic, rosemary, oregano, basil, and olive oil. Despite challenges like losing a storefront due to the pandemic, LadyBread has persevered and grown, thanks to a supportive community.
Join Them Tomorrow! May 28th 2024

I’m looking forward to having a bakery that makes gluten free options yummy.
