At the center of Kismet’s Landing is a vibrant bar, crafted from locally sourced wood and exuding rustic charm. Here, patrons can witness the artistry of sushi-making as skilled chefs prepare delectable rolls right before their eyes. Owner Mia Langley, returned to Reedsport after 16 years to bring her vision to life, along with head chef Scott Lettourneau.
The path to opening day was marked by passion and unwavering dedication, with months of tireless effort converging to create the vibrant atmosphere and exceptional cuisine that characterize Kismet’s Landing today.
Formerly a speakeasy hidden behind a secret bookcase entrance, the space has transformed while retaining its unique character and allure.
Our culinary journey at Kismet’s Landing proved to be an absolute delight. We indulged in the much-raved-about Brussels sprout appetizer and sampled the innovative cocktails expertly crafted at the bar, each dish and drink exemplifying the restaurant’s dedication to excellence and innovation.
The “local roll” had fresh salmon, capers, and lemon, while the perfectly cooked New York Steak, was served with asparagus and mashed potatoes. Every item was prepared perfectly and the presentation was spot on.
As we approached the end of our meal, the array of tempting dessert options captivated us, leading us to ultimately indulge in the warm and comforting Blackberry Crisp.
Throughout our dining experience, Mia, Scott, and the team showed nothing but warmth and hospitality, enhancing our visit with an extra layer of enjoyment.
In bringing Kismet’s Landing to fruition, Mia, Scott, and the staff have created more than just a restaurant—they’ve crafted a welcoming haven where exceptional food, friendly service, and memorable moments converge. As we bid farewell for the evening, we can’t help but feel that our encounter with Kismet’s Landing was truly meant to be.
